This website

viu.one is a static website hosted on Google Firebase Hosting (Google Ireland Ltd.). To deliver the pages, Google processes your IP address and technical request data (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in operating the website).

We do not use cookies, tracking or analytics on this website and do not embed third-party content.

Your account at datastudio.viu.one

When you create an account, we process your email address, name and login data to provide the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Accounts are managed with Google Firebase Authentication.

Matomo connection data

You store the name and URL of your Matomo instance and a Matomo API token. We store them in Google Cloud Firestore in the EU region and use them only to request data from your Matomo on your behalf. Members you invite to an instance can use it in Data Studio.

Report data

When a Data Studio report loads, the connector runs in Google’s Data Studio / Apps Script environment and requests the data directly from your Matomo API. We do not store or cache report data. The list of available reports, segments and goals is cached for up to 30 minutes in the Google Apps Script cache. For report data we act as a processor on your behalf.

Data processed by Data Studio itself is subject to Google’s privacy policy.

Billing

Payments are handled by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. Stripe receives your name, email, billing address, VAT ID and payment details (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).

Emails

We send account and invitation emails via Mailgun and manage customer contacts in ActiveCampaign. New sign-ups are also posted to an internal Slack channel for our team.

Recipients / sub-processors

Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, otherwise on EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

• Accounts without an active subscription that have not been used for 12 months are deleted automatically, together with their Matomo instances and API tokens.
• You can delete an instance at any time in your account, or ask us to delete your account.
• Invoices and payment records are kept for the statutory retention periods (up to 10 years).

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 15–21 GDPR). Contact team@searchviu.com. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the data protection authority of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW).
